A View of the Lake

A fresh start in a new town is just what Kaitlyn needs, but it might turn out to be the end of her. Her life, at once promising and full of possibilities, is hi-jacked by the handsome Trevor Manning, a charming psychopath who believes he's in love with her, deeply and chillingly so, and takes great pains in forcing her to reciprocate his affection. For better and worse, Kaitlyn has found herself in a relationship with this man.

Trevor infiltrates her life, befriending her neighbors and becoming the talk of the town. Having earned their good graces, Trevor has everybody convinced that Kaitlyn is his reclusive and mentally unstable wife, blissfully unaware that he's keeping her locked away in her own home. He cleverly weaves an intricate web of lies that Kaitlyn can't possibly climb out of. Because the more she cries for help, the more truth she gives to his lies. Struggling with her own sanity, Kaitlyn wonders what else he has in store for her. The truth turns out to be far more complicated than she can imagine.

But Trevor has no idea what Kaitlyn is capable of, and what follows is a psychological cat-and-mouse game between husband and wife. Trevor may know how to play the game, but it seems he may have underestimated Kaitlyn as a submissive victim. She's as strong as they come, perhaps even stronger since he's taken everything from her, which means she's got nothing to lose...
