Guided By Love: Purpose Through Puppies

When Cindy Sullivan had her first child, she made the choice to fore go her teaching career to stay at home and nurture her young family. It was a role she relished for many years. As her two children grew and their need for her constant attention decreased, she was able to spend more time on her artistic endeavors. While her art projects and family kept her busy, she heard a calling to do much more. Guided by Love is Cindy's story of transformation from full time mom to Guide Dog puppy raiser and the many engaging, interesting and satisfying challenges along the way. While many of the changes that occurred during this time were external, the biggest shift came in how Cindy viewed her place in the world. Cindy chose to write about and share her story in hopes that she might inspire others to find more purpose in their lives by providing service to others. The benefits realized by the giver and receivers were well beyond even her artistic imagination.
