Meet Teller: a rough, but endearing Jack-of-all-trades who simply cannot reconcile himself with the 21st Century.
Feeling shackled by responsibility, and disillusioned with his partners greed, Teller walks away from his life, his work, and his love; and with that first step, he finds himself on a path that becomes a wild and twisting romp through time and history.
Tellers adventure takes him from the Rocky Mountain town of Telluride to the Keys of Florida and eventually, back to Moab where deep in the whitewater Canyons his past and future intersect.
There, on the banks of the Colorado River, Teller is reunited with the woman he abandoned, introduced to an eccentric Archeologist, and realigned with an old friend and colleague; all while being pulled headlong into a contest of wills with his devious partner, and trying to survive the efforts of a murderous rival.
Following the discovery of a horde of Gold and precious stones hidden by an escaped slave of the Spanish Crown, this humorous mystery novel becomes an intricately layered web spun around Teller and his companions as well as a cast of 15th Century Explorers, an ancient Shaman, and a Navajo Demigod who stirs the entire mix into a supernatural stew.
The backdrop of this extraordinary journey is the beautiful and rugged Southwest. And as Tellers adventure grows more complex, he finds that nothing is as it seems, and friends are sometimes found in the most unlikely of places.
