Bonita, La Conejita de Mi Patio

Bonnie, Our Backyard Bunny is a based-on-truth tale about a rabbit, her world, and her gratitude for it. The tale conveys a sense of place in the natural world to children, as well a sense of safety and "rightness". Bonnie was born from an oral storytelling by an environmental educator and storyteller. The story then engaged one of Cuba's most well-known and best loved artists, who offered to illustrate the book because his work shares the same mission: to convey that everything in the world has a place, and everything fits together. The work is a collaboration across cultures.

En español: Bonita, La Conejita de Mi Patio es un cuento basado en la verdad sobre un conejo, su mundo y su gratitud por él. El cuento comunica un sentido de lugar en el mundo natural a niños, también un sentido de seguridad y justicia o “exactitud.” Bonita nació de storytelling oral por un educador ambiental y cuentista. La historia entonces contrató a uno de los artistas amados más conocidos y mejores de Cuba, quien ofreció ilustrar el libro porque su trabajo comparte la misma misión: para comunicar a esto todo en el mundo tiene un lugar, y todo cabe juntos. Este trabajo es una colaboración entre culturas.
