Love's Delights: The Joys of Marriage and Family

"If there is an institution endangered in our day, it is marriage and family. Though it would be worth exploring, I leave to others how this factors into the demise of our culture. My concern here is the loss of joy that inevitably attends the weakening and destruction of these relationships. Tear the fabric, destroy the joy in its delicate weave. My interest is revisiting ancient insights into marriage and family as a foundation for human flourishing, and persuading as many as possible that there is great joy to be found here!"

"Storge, philia, eros, and agape. Ancient Greeks used these words to describe love. In English we would recognize them as affection, friendship, being in love, and charity. When they are ours, these loves constitute a full, robust life. Together they hallow relationships and honor the God of love.
