Seattleite, pianist, and jilted fiancé, James Edwards leaves an uncertain life and painful memories behind when he takes over his uncle's small church in Eastern, Washington. Lonely and fearing of losing his sanity, he asks waitress, violinist, and neighbor, Anna McManus to be his 'survival kit'. Despising each other would be an understatement.
