For Your Glory

As a little girl, I would sing all the time, I really loved it and still do! I would listen to a number of vocalists, watch musicals, learn the parts, and sing with them. However, before long I began to hear negative comments from people which lowered my self-esteem. This year, when I was given an opportunity to sing, I couldn’t do it like I wanted to and like I knew that I could… This began to get in my mind and in my heart. I began to seek God and ask Him why this was so hard for me now. God took me back a number of years and showed me how the enemy stripped away my joy and passion for something I always loved to do--sing! God showed me that the enemy was slowly stealing the gift that God had given me—singing, and my purpose to glorify Him. Praise God!

For Your Glory is about encouragement. I want to encourage you to grow deeper in Christ. Study Him because He is the Word and the Word is God. Get to know Him like never before; He will reveal what He has placed on the inside of you... You are God’s very own elect.

Seek God about the gifts and talents He has placed on the inside of you. It doesn’t matter if it’s singing, dancing, or writing. Whatever it is, develop in it. Go back, ask God what He has given you and what the enemy has stolen. Take it back by force and use it to glorify God. God wants His children to know His love. Therefore, whatever gift and talents you were assigned by God; do it with joy, passion and have fun. Make your Father proud. -J. Bagby
