Never Alone: Faith. Family. Freedom.

The 1930s-40s was a terrifying, but unifying time period in America. The deepest and longest-lasting economic downturn in the nation's history emerged with the Great Depression. World War II, the bloodiest war in American history claimed many lives. The Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, which led to speculation of future attacks on the Continental U.S. The worst ever series of severe dust storms, known as the Dirty Thirties, greatly damaged nationwide ecology and agriculture. And reservations of government power rapidly increased. It seems eerily familiar, yet Americans remained hopeful, patriotism and religious sentiment ran high, and through it all, came post-war resilience.

This is my story, one that is built on the foundation of faith, family and freedom.
