About the Letter C

It's important to set the stage for why this book is written. 33: About the Letter C contains testimonies describing how Christ was involved in people's journeys with cancer. When each person found out she or he or a loved one had cancer, the lives of everyone involved were changed forever. Unlike previous books in which I was the main participant: I'm an observer in a journey and battle that involves someone close to me, my father James Schofield.

The book also contains stories other people have graciously shared about themselves or loved ones and how cancer affected them. When I asked for their participation, everyone felt it was important to share their stories and the way Christ impacted them in their individual battles. They hope others come to know Jesus and what a difference He made in their lives.

Even in the hardest circumstances, such as battling cancer, everyone can lean on God's word and Jesus Christ's dying on the cross for comfort and guidance. We can have a certain peace of mind while going through the journey, even in times of great stress, emotional and physical discomfort as a result of treatment side effects. This includes caregivers who also bear an emotional burden while a loved one is battling.
Join me in sharing my father's story along with others' testimonies. We want to encourage others through these stories and the God-inspired poems ultimately to bring people to know Christ and the difference He made in the lives of people who were given the task of a difficult journey.
