the love of simon fox

Simon Fox is a very peculiar fox: he lives alone in Elmwood Foxhall on the edge of an enchanted wood, wears a scarlet waistcoat & a top hat, & visits with his friends Edgar Owl, Alexander Raven, & others on Arthur Bear's veranda, discussing the weather & whether or not the elusive "human" is real. Penelope the Girl lives with her father on a croft on the downs far from other people. When the fox & the girl discover each other one day quite by accident, they each become the friend the other seeks, & the rest of the animals become the family the little human has never had. In a forest full of magic, they explore their world together & learn that love, loyalty, & courage know no bounds.
