Hayes sketches his lyrics against the canvas of interstellar space, the frame against which all else is known--mountains, rivers, wind, Disneyland--"a radical dispossession" wholly immersed in the immediate pleasures and discomforts of daily life. Joyous, even in the face of death and loss, go with me revels in presence: "this ravine and this gulley this runnel this other river another river this letter," this litany of loves neither punctuated nor constrained, present 'mid the plethora.
