Salei and Alex are free-spirited teenagers who live in 1960’s Birmingham, Alabama.They do everything together. From jumping in leaves together, to listening to Bobby Darin all day. But one newscast could’ve saved their lives one day. On one casual bright and shiny Sunday, the two wanted to attend the church choir. But, they didn’t acknowledge that people still don’t want people of color to be equal… The two arrive at the 16th St. Baptist Church, and that day, nothing will ever be the same again.
