Hale Simmons and her drunk dad, Jerry, are barely scraping by. But one, fateful night, Jerry brings a childhood friend home from the bar and reveals a horrible incident that changes the entire landscape of Hale's future.

Hale finds herself in an unexpected, arranged marriage with Oscar Maree, the playboy son of a wealthy business man. His horrible name and awful reputation is all she knows about him. But when she meets Oscar, a man who moves like smoke and wants to know everything about her, Hale must figure out if he is actually the womanizer she's heard about, or a gentleman caught in the same wedding snare.

Most of all, Hale needs to know if love can be arranged under any circumstances.
