ANTHONY and EVELYN appear White. Both were mixed race. This was a cloud over their relationship. What happens when one's mixed race situation is disclosed? They do not know about their common Black grandmother Magrit. This story is about them and their ancestral past. It involves their family's involvement through the Civil Rights movement in Nashville and St. Louis in the 1960s and early 1970s.
