Pippi on the Mississippi Runaway Girl, Runaway Island

After the death of her grandparents, 13 year old river rat, Pippi, runs away to the Mississippi River. There, she stakes her claim as captain of her family houseboat, The Karna Kathleen, named after her late mother.

But Castaways Marina is no longer a safe haven. Pippi uncovers a plot by Icky, a drifter who schemes to steal her houseboat. With a stray black Labrador as her companion, she escapes downriver and begins a desperate adventure where danger and beatuy intertwine.
