The Secrets of the Clock

Getting along with your family can sometimes be difficult, even under normal circumstances. But if your dad is Father Time, and your sisters are married to Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, and Headless Horseman, family dynamics take on a whole new dimension of dysfunction.

Essie Bunny, Sharon Claus, and Hannah Horseman are ordinary sisters with an extraordinary family who have not spoken to each other since a big blow-up at a family event fifteen years ago. When their mother dies, the sisters must come together to settle their mother's affairs. Their mother leaves a cryptic message for her daughters, telling them to search for her last wishes on a video tape in their childhood home, set the old grandfather clock to five o'clock, and wait for the magic to happen.

Barely restraining their dislike of each other, the sisters return to their mother's home on a Florida beach to find a closet stuffed full of unlabeled videos. The grandfather clock sits quietly against the wall showing nine-fifteen, just like it always has. Resentment grows as they search for the right video and try to understand what magic will come when they set the non-working timepiece to five o'clock.
