Endorsements for "Breathing Spirit: prayers for the emotional and frequently frantic but often grateful":
“Whether Laura Romeyn’s Breathing Spirit prayers confess (to the momentary thrill of anger) or supplicate to a higher power (‘attend to me, Spirit … shine into my darkened spaces … soften me’), we are soothed by their much needed healing medicine.”
Michele Ritterman, Ph.D., author of TAO OF A WOMAN
“Laura’s prayers are like springtime showers that gently refresh and nourish all they touch as they find their path to the soul of the reader.”
Ibrahim Hamide, social justice and interfaith advocate
“These prayers of comfort and inspiration speak to the deeper parts of ourselves.”
Jill Wolf, M.S., Psychologist Associate
“I love Laura’s Breathing Spirit poems for the same reason I love King David’s psalms. The prayer poems are from the depths of honesty and seeking, reaching and waiting. They are a moving adventure that begins with a quest and doesn’t stop until the Spirit answers. It’s a friendship, a trusting relationship from hunger to the nourishment of God who answers in the night.”
Candy Neville, former recorded minister, Society of Friends
“The world needs this!”
Marty Sewell
