Without stimulation, the mind-brain has no function. Strangely, we are creators of stimulation, but awareness created the mind. The doorway to understanding the mind-brain is art, as a form of self created stimulation which is growing in importance world-wide.

The original theory for this text was set down in 1984 but could not be published in Soviet Russia due to political and numerous complications. It was copyrighted in 1990 in the USA. It was primarily the evolution of created stimulation (art) based on neurophysiological evidence.

Being deeply influenced by Eastern thought, the author saw universally in the evolution of awareness in all organisms from the earliest cells, but had no proof in science. Tracing evolution backwards, the author found that all species had to be aware and they themselves found food, defenses, and selected physical aspects of the outside environment to guide them and to evolve nonmaterial attributes as perceptions, later emotions, and finally thought (consciousness). In the 1990's the author found proof in quantum physics, genetics, epigenetics, paleontology, and archaeology. Now there was scientific proof, permitting the author to include awareness, consciousness, and creativity and other functions of the mind-brain's most exciting non-material properties. This allowed adding the most radical ideas that explained awareness, consciousness, and creativity on which art and stimulation depend-making this a truly holistic theory. It is still a radical and ground-breaking thesis.

The author and writer are both neurophysiologists and know the neurophysiology texts well, which make no mention of the nonmaterial aspects of the mind-brain's most important functions - subjectivity (sensations, emotions, thoughts, etc.) for which the mind-brain was solely created!

Anyone who reads general science magazines should have no problem reading this text and finding the answers to the basis of stimulation and more.
