Applying Indigenous Research Methods: Storying with Peoples and Communities

This book is a collection of dialogic stories shared between scholars, students, and community members on the important, but often-overlooked question of "How?" Indigenous Research Methods (IRM) can be used. Indigenous scholars address the importance of such methodologies in their own scholarship, while focusing conversations on the application of IRM with others. Chapters are co-authored to engage in the methods themselves – ones rooted in developing meaning through sharing of stories to strengthen relationships. Contributing authors not only speak to the ways IRM can be applied, but also author their chapters using the Indigenous research methods of yarning, storywork and others.
