Mr. Nice Guy

Meet Lucas Callahan, newly-minted New Yorker and lowly fact-checker at the city's hottest magazine, Empire. After a night of drinking with the editorial assistants and determined to live big city life to the fullest, Lucas has a one-night stand with the gorgeous brunette at the end of the bar. The next week he opens the new issue of Empire and is shocked to discover not only was his one-night stand with the gorgeous Carmen Kelly, Empire’s sex columnist, but she’s written a scathing review of their night together.

Humiliated and furious, Lucas anonymously submits a rebuttal to Carmen's scathing critique. He signs it “Nice Guy”, and Empire promptly prints it. The column receives more attention than the magazine has seen in months, and a new weekly feature is born: each week, Carmen and "Nice Guy" will sleep together and write dueling reviews of their encounter. And so begins the tumultuous relationship between the fiery sex columnist and the naive but ambitious "Nice Guy".

The column is a huge hit, lighting up social media with every new installment. But it's not long before "Nice Guy" Lucas, struggling to navigate his new, cutthroat world, realizes the personal cost in the clash between his professional ambition and his heart. Does Lucas have what it takes to make it in New York? Or does he even want to anymore?
