Textbook of Stroke Medicine

This concise and informative Textbook of Stroke Medicine is aimed at trainee doctors beginning work on a stroke unit or residents embarking on their postdoctoral specialty training in stroke care. It has a practical approach covering all important issues of prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cerebrovascular diseases. Dedicated chapters on the basics of neuropathology and experimental patho-physiology of the cerebral circulation are followed by a through review of clinical issues, including structural and functional neuroimaging, clinical assessment of intracranial hemorrhage, diagnosis and treatment of venous infarcts, stroke in the young, and stroke and dementia.
