Excerpt from The Genealogy of the Descendants of Lawrence and Mary Antisell of Norwich and Willington, Conn: Including Some Records of Christopher Antisell of Sraduff, Birr, (Kings Co;) Ireland

In 1902, after I had finished a work of a similar nature he suggested that I take what he had found and carry on the work to completion, which I have attempted to do, giving it most care ful study, and in all cases trying to get accurate information, laboring under the same disadvantages that undoubtedly all genealogists encounter in the search for authentic data. The early records of New England towns are in many instances very incom plete, and it has been necessary to make search in the records of the registers of deeds and probate courts as well as in church records, military rolls, family Bibles, local histories and family genealogies. To obtain the names of members of the family of the present generation, directories have been searched and re quests have been sent out to furnish information concerning ancestors, in many cases bringing very valuable records, and at times disappointment.
