Infrastructure and Productivity in Asia: Political, Financial, Physical and Intellectual Underpinnings

Eleven papers, presented by Kidd (Aston Business School, UK) and Richter (president, HORASIS: The Global Visions Community—a Switzerland-based consultancy "focusing on long-term scenarios related to corporate globalization and Asian business"), explore the underlying factors hindering or encouraging sustainable growth in Asia's economic, social, and environmental capital. Papers on education infrastructure discuss the development of human capital in theoretical and empirical terms. Others consider the notion of good governance in the contexts of corporations, road administration, and communication infrastructure.
