Wonder Light

Deep in the heart of a mist-shrouded island, an impossible secret is about to be discovered.

A high whinny broke the midnight silence. The three-quarter moon hovers high about the tree-line, but the low fog hung heavy in the yard, shifting slowly. Something moved. Twig gasped as a ghostly form flowed thorugh the mist.

Twig could hardly believe what she was seeing. A horse white as monlight, with quicksilver eyes, and lone, spiraling silverly-white horn.

Unicorn.

In the stillness, quiet footsteps approached. Slowly, breath held, Twig turned.
