Tales of Terror and Mystery

If you have only read the Sherlock Holmes stories, then you have missed out on the other great short fiction by Arthur Conan Doyle, some of which is represented in this collection...Doyle was a superb storyteller and this selection is full of unease and mystery.
Although Doyle was best known for his Sherlock Holmes stories, he also wrote other short fiction - remarkable works of mystery and crime. Tales of Terror and Mystery is the best example for that. Stories from this book, like 'The Horror of the Heights' or 'The Brazilian Cat' are true masterpieces of storytelling.
