Trials Of Life

In school my teachers always said to me, "Write what you know." At fourteen I did not know much except pain and rejection. While I wanted friends and a girlfriend, I was too nerdy to fit in anywhere. I needed an avenue to vent my pain, and poetry was my answer. I wrote what I felt. Since my first poem I have written down all my emotions, good or bad, and the result is this collection. While some poems may venture toward being dark, they are true to the human spirit. At one time or another in our lives we have all walked that fine line toward dark emotions. But there are also happy poems, too, so I hope you enjoy what I have put together for you.
