The Chronicles of the Dragon Key: The Gathering for the Key

At more than 400 years old, Vertimyre is the oldest wizard in history. He's seen and experienced many, many events through his long years. Now his wisdom tells him that danger of some kind lurks on the horizon. Because he discovered a hidden prophecy foretelling the fall of man, Vertimyre understands that he has some of the knowledge that could help stop the evil that is spreading across the land.

The answer lies in a years-old prophecy revolving around a crystal key that has been broken and hidden in three secret places and an unknown female child born with an immense power within her. Marked by a dragon tattoo, this mysterious girl will have both the innocent wisdom and the power to put the key together.

But first, Vertimyre must find the girl, the three pieces of the key, and the spell accompanying the key-and then he must ask the dragons for their help in expelling the evil. He knows that it will be neither easy nor safe; he knows he may never return from this journey.
