This gospel account is something of a 'fifth gospel'. It has five distinctive features that no other account of Christ's life would have. It is two and a half times the word size of the largest gospel account, which is Luke's gospel. It records all 179 events the four gospels collectively report (Individually the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John record 94, 79, 118, and 49 events respectively). An event would be Jesus baptism, wilderness temptation, the raising of Lazarus etc.
It quotes only one of the possible four gospel accounts of each event in the life of Christ. Sometimes an event in Christ's life is reported by one, two, three, and sometimes four gospels. (Only one account is selected).
However, it selects the account that does have the most to say and the most weighty words.
Extra unique source material from the other three gospels is included in parenthesis. No detail is omitted.
It presents the life of Christ in its correct chronological order (the synoptic gospels are not strictly recorded chronologically).
You can get the whole story of Christ's life in one account, in one reading. This is ideal for new Christians who want to read the story of Christ's life in one full reading. It would be great for those Christians who want to, for the first time, get the whole story of His life without having to resort to studying the four gospel narratives. His story is fresh and new, this reading is surprising informative.
