Obsession

Toni Matthews is a twenty-six-year-old with a firm grasp on her life and destiny-that is until she receives a phone call. While on a fishing trip vacation, her father, Paul Matthews, was killed in a horrible accident. Then, while settling the affairs of her father's detective agency, she receives a mysterious phone call from April Lippincott, a client of her father's who was looking for her fifteen-year-old granddaughter, Julie Greene. Toni soon discovers that her father's fatal fishing trip and the Julie Greene case were related, and she begins an investigation of her own. Obsessed with finding the truth and proving herself, Toni becomes involved with a young police detective named Abe, who is hiding a dark secret in his own past. Although attracted to Abe, Toni is troubled because he is not a Christian. The story climaxes with a daring rescue attempt and professions of both faith and love as Toni and Abe each find the redemption they have been seeking.

Author Biography: Kathi Mills-Macias is an award-winning writer (1991 Angel Award from Excellence in Media) who has authored or coauthored eleven books as well as edited or ghostwritten approximately forty others. A former newspaper columnist and string reporter, Kathi has taught writing and business writing and has published numerous articles, short stories, and poems in various periodicals.
