Strength Unknown

My name is Veronica Paul. I was born in St. Vincent, West Indies. I am a divorced mother of two young men. I have been taking care of them since they were infants. I am a single mother. My hobbies are doing song services and I direct the youth choir at my church. I received my GED and continued my education to receive an associate’s degree in human development. I have been working for Crystal Run Village for the past eleven years. I wrote this book at a time when I was experiencing great sorrow, a time when I thought all hope was lost.

I was physically and mentally abused by my husband, someone who promised to love and cherish me for as long as we live, but the nightmare began less than a year after we got married. Against all odds I made it out alive, and I want every woman or anyone who is being abused to know that all they need is faith in God and he will make a way for them to escape. I had strength I never thought I had to make my escape, and I know that strength I had came from God and no one else.

I dedicate this book to my two sons, Sheldon and Roy, because if I didn’t have them in my life to fight for and live for, I don't know what would have happened to me.
