Police Sergeant Tom Ketchum pulled the pin and left the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles to retire on Colorado’s Western Slope. He took an easy job as a lawyer’s private investigator. Life was good at $50 an hour plus expenses. The tranquility was wonderful at Glenwood Springs, Aspen, Vail, and Beaver Creek. One Sunday morning, it changed when the Sanderson night patrolman was gunned down in the city manager’s office.
