The Captain of the Polestar and Other Tales

Isolated for a length of time in the ice floes north of Scotland the Captain of the Pole Star begins to show signs of wear. The narrative is in the form of a diary and the tale concerns the superstitions, sounds and ghost-sightings that appear to members of the crew as they try to make their way back home with only a few weeks provisions to survive on.
