The Prisoners of September

When Lewis Boston dashingly rescues the enchanting Comtesse de la Motte-Valois from her runaway carriage in July 1789, he little realizes that this heroic act will entangle both himself and his boyhood friend, Richard Mortimer, in the terrible and bloody events of the French Revolution. Both will lose their illusions as they face up to their false ideals, and both will become prisoners of September.
