Wanderlust: Based on the true-life journals of Sydney Taylor

Meet Sydney Taylor who is born with what I call Wanderlust, which is the impulse to wander or, as they say in modern times, a strong desire to travel and explore the world. From his birth in Greater London in a town called Leytonstone, England in 1887, follow his life as he runs away at a young age of fifteen to Canada. See and learn what he experiences as he starts his life-long work with the world's largest and oldest company, the Hudson Bay Company, which explored Canada and parts of the United States of America. See him as he travels across Canada, where he begins working in the wild, rough environment of the early 1900’s trading with the Native Americans in outposts across northern Ontario.

The story is based on the true-life journals of Sydney Taylor but the story is expounded on in such a fashion as to learn in detail about the history and the geography of everything he came into contact with. 

Of Sydney Taylor, you can see from the beginning of the book that his life must have fashioned him into a person who would continually move to new places and, as such, he developed a taste for travel or, as I call it,  Wanderlust.
