Carson O'Hara, a bartender who has just turned thirty, is looking for love and meaning in her life. She comes in contact with Hunter Reeves, a handsome and charming detective who begins to awaken feelings in Carson. But any chance of coming together with Hunter is stopped when her best friend Emily is found dead. Although the police believe that Emily drowned, Carson suspects she was murdered. Unbeknown to Hunter, Carson starts an investigation to find Emily's killer.
