ON THE BARBARY COAST: Strange Tales of San Francisco And Nearby Places

Ronald B. Reiss grew up in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury neighborhood. From an early age, he was fascinated with the City's architecture and history. Over the years, Mr. Reiss has amassed an extensive library and collection of historical artifacts reflecting the City's history. Initially trained as an architectural historian, he received his undergraduate degree from San Francisco State University, a Master of Architecture with a Certificate in Historic Preservation from the University of Texas at Austin, and a law degree from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. He is both a licensed architect and a member of the California Bar.
