The title: "Stumbling in Darkness ~ Separated from God” (A journey to the Light) ...is a life summarized. May this book inspire you to seek the LORD God, read His Word–the Holy Bible, and get to know Him as He reveals Himself to you through the Spirit in Jesus Christ. It is God’s will for all of us to know Him and receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior. In both Testaments God says, “I will be their God and they will be My children.” (Lev 26:12) - (Rev 21:7) this statement is repeated many times. God desires to have a relationship with each one of us. He’s long suffering patiently waiting for us to come to Him. However, He has a set year, month, day and time – when the waiting ends. Take an honest look at yourself and ask – do you know the love of God? Do you know Jesus Christ personally? Is your name written in The Book of Life? Are you a slave to addictions, lost in sinful desires? Will you be welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven? Do you put everyone and everything before and above God? We are living in what Scripture calls – "the last days" – the end of life as we know it. Though it is a world without end…as we know it…is becoming a memory. Prompted by the Holy Spirit (the true author of the book), Laura is God's tool used by His Spirit, experience, faith, and grace; to help those who don't know the LORD, who misunderstand His will, or who think its too late for them. By admitting her faults, low self-esteem, wrong mind-set, poor choices...a sinful life; God's power and desire to save and change the 'least worthy' of His forgiveness—reveals His tenderhearted mercy, patience, and love—hence, He is worthy of all praise and glory! “Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts against Him.” (Heb 3:7-8) AMP Before I received the Spirit of Truth, I tried to fill a void only God fills. As His creation, we have a special place for His touch alone. Until we know this and submit our will to His, we look for anything to fill the emptiness He overfills with love. When I received the Holy Spirit I was ‘sealed’ as God’s, transformed into a new person. (Eph 4:23, 30) I have holiness dwelling in me – God’s power. The same power the apostles had when they shared the gospel without fear even unto death. Who-so-ever receives Jesus in their heart (not the mind), receives the Spirit—unexpectedly. (Jn 3:3-8) He changes you into the image of Christ (Gen 1:26), there’s no doubt the promise of eternal life is true. You know you’ll rise to live in God’s kingdom forever! The LORD is so much more than we could ever imagine. The Living God—He is whatever those who love Him need Him to be. He wants nothing more than this: “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” (Jam 4:8) The many facets of God are lovely, and the wrath read in the Old Testament is not in Christ in the New Testament; though He repeatedly warned—all would be judged. Many are blind to God’s pain for not believing in His Son-Jesus. (Jn 10:30) Despite the dramatic display of His anger in both testaments; His love through His Spirit given to the prophets, Jesus, and the apostles all warn of the ‘Day of the Lord’ – God never changes. (Heb 13:8) He calls Himself a “Consuming Fire” (Deut 4:24) “Jealous God.” (Ex 20:5) He has appointed a Day of Judgment for every spoken word, thought and deed in secret or open; how we treated our body (the temple for His Spirit), and if His Commandments were kept. (Jer 17:10) (2 Cor 5:10) Many toss around the Name of God as if common, but they’re cursing themselves as they break the 3rd Commandment: “You shall NOT take the Name of the LORD your God in Vein, for The LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes His Name in vein.” (Ex 20:7) Not making God first in your life breaks His most important law: The 1st Commandment: “You shall love The LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, all your mind.” (Deut 6:5) (Lk 10:27) God must be first above all else, even family. He blesses us after He is made first in our life. (Mat 6:33) Thus, no one can boast. (Eph 2:9) Jesus said: “For I tell you, you must give an account on Judgment Day for every careless word you speak. For by your words you will be acquitted and by your words you will be condemned.” (Mat 12:36-37) HCSB “He will give eternal life to those who patiently go after the glory and honor and immortality, God offers. But His wrath and indignation to those who live for themselves, who refuse to listen or obey the Truth, choosing their lives of wickedness. God does not show favoritism. In that day, God through Jesus Christ will judge everyone’s secret life.” (Rom 2:7-8, 11, 16) Every sin—big or small separates us from God. Jesus paid the ultimate price for every one of us. God’s wrath is justified for those who don’t give Him time, honor, respect and love. He wants heartfelt devotion. Church attendance, deeds, politeness, will not save you. You cannot and do not earn salvation. (Rom 9:16) You must by faith – trust in, rely, lean and depend on the blood of Jesus shed on the cross for salvation. My life is a testimony to the above. I broke every Commandment and sinned habitually—today I’m an adopted child of Elohim (Hebrew for GOD). Living to please Him in all I do. I want to hear: “well done good and faithful servant” when I kneel before the Lord Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah (Christ). (Mat 25:21) “If any person be in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new one has come.” (2 Cor 5:17) AMP “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Rom 3:23) Jesus said, “Only God is good.” (Mk 10:18) Don’t try to change before seeking Him; He knows what you’ve done. (Rev 2:23) (Heb 4:13) In all humility…submit to God, confess your sins aloud. Repent [change your mind, turn away from sin], ask Jesus to come into your heart and lead you to righteousness (right living). He promised eternal life if we diligently seek Him with a sincere heart. God wants us to know Him, filled with His Spirit, and enjoy abundant life, today and forever. (Jn 10:10) (Eph 3-16-19) But like the prophets and apostles; Jesus warned all will be persecuted for His Name. (Mk 10:30) I confess events that led me to know God in Christ Jesus, in the hope it may help another seek God’s love. What I’ve typed God already knows. He alone is my judge.
