Torn Dreams

As as young girl, Ayla flees the emotional abuse of her mother and the sexual abuse by a family member, but finds that the streets are no place for a young girl. From coast to coast, she hitchhikes her way across the country, looking for the acceptance and love that she could not get at home. From young love to startling discoveries, she learns that the open road is the only way she could be free, but the freedom comes at a price. Read as adult Ayla reflects on what could have been and what was as a runaway, in hopes to come to terms with the abuse and sexual promiscuity she experienced as a young girl.
