Education and Social Change in Liberia: New Perspectives for the 21st Century

The author's most immediate concerns in this book are to describe the institutional and conceptual mechanisms for power free communication in Liberian Civil and Political Life. In so doing, he hopes to establish a more human and social democratic platform for conflict resolution in contemporary Liberian associational life. The book's emphasis on the role of dialogue in problem solving and the civic potential of critical discourse can be located in the intellectual traditions of critical theory and emancipatory adult education.
