Tears of Crimson: Journal of an Immortal

Sara Lamont was happy. She had a loving husband, Don, who was a great provider. Don built their dream home in a quiet town in the Catskill Mountains of upstate New York with the hopes of one day starting a family. She reunited with an old friend from high school, Alise, who introduced Sara to her roommate, Veronica, and all was looking bright.

That is, until she lost everything.

A devastating accident killed her husband Don, and the large empty house is too much for Sara to endure. She decides that life is no longer worth living. She awakens in a hospital room after a failed attempt to end her own life and finds Veronica looking over her. Veronica wants to help Sara, by drinking her blood!

In a strange twist of fate, Veronica is unable to kill Sara and is forced to give her a new life full of darkness and confusion-life as a vampire.

After a terrifying journey into the unknown and self-exploration, Sara decides to document her experiences in a journal to become her new companion, to remind her of who she was, and to hold onto whatever is left of her humanity.
