Silent Words

Silent Words is about poems written through the experience of silence; a forgotten language in our modern minds the author decided to explore in two languages. José Pérez MSc, a poet by intuition, approaches the art of poetry with an evocative style that invites to contemplate the words we use to make sense of this world. His own spiritual journey is achieved in each poem and confirms the intention of using this form of expression to speak about everything else in his life. Likewise, his knowledge in human sciences and arts contributed to the development of his artistry in which images became an essential tool to convey any aspect of reality.

I say farewell to them
to be left within your memory,
do not search my words in the dictionaries
do not ask for them on the streets,
my words are not those we learned at the time we stopped crying,
I talk about the words within the words,
the words that at birth we forgot,

because those are the words the silence has spelled for me."
