God of War is the final novel in a trilogy that began with The Lion of Macedonia and continued in Lord of the World. In God of War, the story of Alexander the Great concludes with his epic and brutal invasion of India, his quest to reach the edge of the world, his disastrous return to the west, and then his untimely death in Babylon.
