The story of a lunch counter girl from Woolworth's 5 and 10. Her life, through a series of circumstances takes her to a highly successful business carees. During her ascent, she realizes that success isn't the only thing she needs for a fulfilling life. Her budding friendship of seventeen years comes to fruition and results in a surprisingly tender and sensitive romance.
