Doctoral studies in English at University of Maryland, Honorary doctorates from
Gallaudet University and Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), New York

Employment: Teacher, principal, associate professor, university administrator
Executive Director, Council of Organizations Serving the Deaf (COSD)

Advocacy activities: Montana Association of the Deaf, president of the Delaware
Assn of the Deaf, president of the Tri-County (Florida) Assn of the Deaf; president
of the COSD, president of the National Association of the Deaf, Board member of
various organizations, including the World Federation of the Deaf, also WFD
International President of the Commission of Pedagogy for 20 years

Presentations on education and advocacy for the deaf in: Canada, The Bahamas,
Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Russia, France,
Italy, Yugoslavia, Poland, Japan, Singapore (using international signs with
interpreters)

Married to Carol Kaull, five daughters
