The World I Always Knew

Many times I was called things which were not pleasing to hear, but I never let that get in my way. I had dreams of being somebody, but I pushed them to the side because anybody can have dreams. I always felt different about myself, but I couldn’t explain it. Being told constantly that I was different from my mother never settled in until now.
