This book presents a picture of Ireland in the Middle Ages, between 1170 and 1513. It is divided into four sections, Europe, England, Irish Society, and Irish history. This enables the reader to place medieval Ireland in it proper context. The traditional distortions of nationalist propaganda are weeded out.
