Charles and Diantha: A Romance

"All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way." So the great Russian novel Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy famously begins.


Dr. Charles Drury, a leading New York neuroscientist and his wife Diantha, a promising young art historian, have been married ten years when the opportunity arises for the couple to take an anniversary trip. After much discussion they settle on Venice and Diantha immediately makes reservations at the legendary Cipriani Hotel on the Venetian island called the Guidecca.
While on holiday however Diantha receives disturbing news that threatens to unravel the marriage.
