This volume includes stories by John Mackay Wilson, Alexander Leighton, Oliver Richardson, Alexander Campbell, John Howell, Alexander Peterkin, and William Hetherington. According to Wikipedia: "John Mackay Wilson (1804-1835) was an Scottish writer famous for the six volume Tales of The Borders. He was born in Tweedmouth, on the border between Scotland and England. Towards the end of his life, he suffered from alcoholism. Two of his plays were The Gowrie Conspiracy and Margaret of Anjou."
