It therefore obeys Newton's laws and resists movement. It is that resistance or reaction which makes flight possible." This, the fifth edition was first published in 1917. The book covers elementary principles, flight, stability and control, rigging, propellers, and maintenance. It also has 36 full-page illustrations of the "types of aeroplanes". Over 100 illustrations.
