In the cover story, “Bunkalunken Goes to Washington,” Austin Bonilla sits in his bedroom at the White House; he looks around his large bedroom with a frown on his face. The room is too big, in his opinion, and so is the large bed. He does not like living in the White House.
Austin has another problem. He finds out that someone is trying to kill his father, the President of the United States.
Austin meets a mystical character who calls himself Bunkalunken. When Bunkalunken appears to Austin, Bunkalunken wants to know why Austin is so sad. When Austin tells him, Bunkalunken tells Austin that he can help. The first thing they need to do is find out who is trying to kill Austin’s father. Bunkalunken and Austin find the men and they make plans to stop them.
